Quantitative Verification
Spring 2021
Description:
Use of quantitative techniques in verification and security has
been increasing, enabling a more nuanced assessment of correctness and
security properties in computer systems that go beyond "yes" or "no"
answers to queries about system behavior. For example, intead of asking
if a computer system ever fails or if it is vulnerable, quantiative
verification techniques investigate how likely it is that a system fails
or how vulnerable it is. In this seminar, we will discuss recent research
results on quantitative verification.
