To Do

Today, you must:

1. Fill out the Micro-Computer Laboratory (MCL) account forms.
2. Make sure that MCL has your account forms.

Before the next lecture:

1. Read chapter 1 of our text book. Expect this to take a full 5 hours, maybe more. Please don't try to do this in one sitting; your comprehension will be unacceptably low.

As soon as possible:

1. Go to MCL and log in to your account. (???Name of lab).
2. Take the MCL tutorial on using Windows95 asap.
3. Email me and ???TA a message saying that you are a CS 10 students, so that we can record your email address.
4. Using the Netscape web browser, view the web pages for this course. Its uniform resource locator (url) is: http://www.cs.ucsb.edu/Courses/10

   (please be careful; urls are case-sensitive).

5. Familiarize your self with:
   • Goals and Prerequisites
   • Grades
   • What learning materials are available
   • Personnel
   • Syllabus
