Automatic Variables
- Identifiers that represent local variables in a method (method parameters and variables declared in the method
body) have automatic duration:
- They are created when the block in which they are declared is entered.
- They exist while the block is active.
- They are destroyed when the block is exited.
- They are called automatic variables.
- Automatic variables must be initialized explicitly in the program before they are used in an expression.
