2012 International Workshop on Analytics Services on the Cloud
Located at the 10th International Conference on Services Oriented Computing (ICSOC 2012)
November 12-16, 2012, Shanghai, China

Call For Paper

Every day, quintillions of bytes of data are created in different domains, including Internet, healthcare, retail, social media and so on. Such extremely high-volume, fast-changing and heterogeneous data has created tremendous challenges on analytics for researchers in both industry and academia. It has been clear that traditional data processing techniques are no longer able to meet the increasing demands of big data analytics. The emerging Cloud Computing technology becomes a perfect candidate as a service model to deliver analytics to end users.

The proposed full-day workshop on "Analytics Services on the Cloud" follows the increasing interests in big data and cloud services and aims at bringing together researchers from various communities who are interested in these challenges.

Topics of Interest
Expected papers deal with methods, models, techniques, case studies and practical experiences related to the analytics services on the cloud. Topics of interest to the workshop include, but are not limited to:

  • Benchmarking
  • Scalability
  • Service model of cloud analytics
  • Data model to support cloud analytics
  • Cloud analytics architecture
  • Quality of analytics services
  • Analytics service composition
  • Privacy and security
  • Storage and access methods
  • Parallel analytics
  • Visualization
  • System reliability
  • Migration to cloud
  • Analysis of cloud workloads
