Research Overview

The IGERT program in Interactive Digital Multimedia catalyzes and encourages collaboration among participating faculty and graduate students. For example...

  • We have Geographers working with Computer Scientists, creating wearable computers to better map, understand, and engage our surroundings.

  • We have Artists helping Engineers to push the envelope on the auralization and visualization of multimedia data.

  • And we have Psychologists and Engineers collaborating with Musicians to build immersive environments that bring research in auditory perception and interaction to new and exciting levels.

These are only a few examples of the larger research being pursued by UCSB faculty in interactive digital multimedia. To learn more about the research of individual faculty members and their labs, visit the IGERT faculty homepages.
