Abstract: This is a graduate-level (or advanced) course on data mining.  It introduces the principles, algorithms, and applications of sequential pattern, graph mining, link analysis, social network, streaming data,  massive data analysis, and other topics in data mining.

Each student is expected to write reviews (two papers) every week, do two homework assignments, present one paper and lead the discussion after his/her presentation, and complete a research project.

Grading: Your grade will be derived from paper reviews (25%), homework (15%) a class presentation  (20%), and the project (40%).
