What is SmartBits?

SmartBits is the industry standard for network performance analysis for 10/100/Gigabit Ethernet, ATM, Packet over SONET, Frame Relay, xDSL, Cable Modem, IP QoS, VoIP, Routing, MulticastIP, and TCP/IP.  SmartBits hardware and supporting software applications are used by the world's leading network equipment manufacturers, network service providers and enterprises to accelerate development and minimize risk of deployment of new communications technologies. SmartBits is designed for …

Network Equipment Manufacturers:  Perform comprehensive performance analysis for
                      engineering, production, and QA testing.
Evaluation Labs:  Test and certify different devices with different manufacturers to benchmark
                      their performance.
Telcos/ISPs/Enterprise Users:  Perform comparative analysis of network equipment to
determine suitability to a specific application prior to deployment.

SmartBits CAPABILITIES

Comprehensive set of technology-based powerful SmartCard modules for Ethernet, ATM,
                      Frame Relay, and Token Ring.
Bundled with three PC-based software applications for comprehensive stress testing
                      (SmartWindow, SmartApplications, and SmartLib).
10 Mbps Ethernet connection to host PC. Can also be controlled via an RS-232 port. Control
SmartBits remotely over the Internet or from a PC via SmartBits Systems software.
GPS Support. Using the external GPs kit, you can remotely synchronize the timing mechanism
of multiple chassis for one-way latency measurements, 100-ns accuracy timestamps and
                      system start/stop.
One workstation can control up to eight SmartBits stacks (32 chassis with a total of 640 ports)
                      via SmartLib.
Multiple users can simultaneously access the SMB-2000.
