Once a year, the IGERT community holds an Annual Research Review, which is an opportunity to reflect on and evaluate the state of the program. This is done via panels, group discussions and feedback to help shape the program, and presentations of research results, both complete and preliminary, to the whole community and beyond. We invite interested faculty and students at UCSB to attend, as well as local industry, our external panel, previous seminar speakers, and other interested industry and university researchers external to UCSB. This occurs on or near the UCSB campus, and our target is for 50% of the participants to be from outside the IGERT program. As additional incentive, prizes are awarded to the best student research project and presentation.
